2025 Elections Ballots Open--Cast Your Vote by February 28

Two outstanding CNS leaders have been nominated to join the NC-NACNS Board of Directors in 2025! While we only have one nominee for each of our open positions, we encourage you to review their biographies below and cast your vote HERE. We will formally announce our incoming officers on March 22.
Student Representative (April 2025-April 2026) Advocate for CNS student members, special projects as needed
- C. Jason Harris, BSN, RN
- Interest in the role: "I am currently a member of the shared governance board at my work, which has been an amazing position to learn how to advocate for my coworkers and the profession as it relates to organizational and community efforts."
- Nomination by ECU faculty member: "Dr. Chelsea Passwater has identified Jason as a CNS Student superstar who will flourish and provide excellent insight to the NC Affiliate."
Board Member at Large (April 2025-April 2027) Participate in work and decision-making of the organization; responsibilities may include membership coordinator, legislative liaison, or academic liaison
- Andie Slivinski, DNP, APRN, ACNS-BC, CEN, CPEN, TCRN
- Pertinent experience: "I have been a CNS since 2008 within the emergency nursing and trauma specialty population foci. I have served on multiple national committees to advance nursing practice and have been chair/co-chair of several of these groups."
- Interest in the role: "I have been a long standing advocate for the CNS role. Having practiced in different states, I have a solid understanding of some of the unique state specific practice differences within the CNS role. I seek to have a seat at the table in furthering the integration of CNSs into healthcare."
