Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details

• Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics (ages 6 months+)
• Average Patient Encounters: 30 per shift

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care or acute care settings
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
• Board Certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)
• BLS certification
• Experience with Epic EMR (training available)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as the sole provider
• Willingness to travel to multiple urgent care locations within a 65-mile radius

Healthcare Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive urgent care and acute care services to patients ages 6 months and up
• Perform minor procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and more
• Accurately document patient encounters in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with Center Manager, Medical Assistant, and Patient Service Associate
• Complete onboarding and EMR training before first solo shift
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment
