Healthcare Job Details

• Location: Greenville, NC (27834) – Eastern North Carolina healthcare hub with excellent amenities and outdoor activities
• Setting: Inpatient, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Schedule: Nocturnist, 7p-7a, 7 shifts every other week (7 on, 7 off)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Total Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3670 - $3930
• Assignment Length: 14-week locum tenens contract
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: May 2, 2026
• On-site Orientation: Required prior to first shift

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license (North Carolina preferred)
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in neurosurgery, critical care, or inpatient healthcare jobs
• Strong ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Commitment to attending orientation before starting

Neurosurgery Nocturnist Responsibilities

• Deliver overnight inpatient coverage for neurosurgery patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Perform patient admissions, discharges, and consultations
• Option to first assist in the operating room
• Collaborate with a team of 9 neurosurgeons and 9 advanced practice providers
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Accurately document all patient interactions and clinical decisions
