About The Practice
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work with our Trauma patients at our level 2 hospital, Lynchburg General.
This provider would be f ocused on geriatric trauma patients from door to discharge. You will follow the patient through the hospital and ensure smooth transitions through discharge with potential for outpatient follow-up.
Provider expereince is required for this role. New grads are not accepted at this time.
Responsibilities
Lynchburg, with a population of 85,000, is a great safe place to raise a family. They will love Amazement Square, an interactive hands-on children’s museum in downtown Lynchburg. Beautiful Smith Mountain Lake is also nearby.

Centra Medical Group (CMG) is a network of local family practices, primary care providers and medical and surgical specialists. With almost 600 employed providers, specialists and surgeons covering the greater Lynchburg area and spanning from Danville to Farmville, Moneta and Bedford, CMG provides the community with primary care providers, cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, gerontologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, psychiatrists, therapists and urologists. CMG-Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency is a training ground for future Family Physicians. Many of the physicians at the side hold academic appointments with the University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine or Liberty University.
Centra Medical Group is launching the health systems first clinical advancement program for CMG Advanced Practice Providers – LEAPP (Leadership, Excellence, Advocacy, Professional Growth, and Professionalism). This program is a two-tier self-directed pathway that allows our providers to choose how they how they wish to advance along the pathway. The goal of LEAPP is to provide APP’s within the medical group with a structured pathway for advancement, while allowing them to focus on their interest with an associated financial incentive for completing the program. This is an exciting step for our medical group and our Advanced Practice Providers and we look forward to sharing more with you.

- collaborate with trauma services such as neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, etc.
- Day Shift Monday - Friday
- No call
- Inpatient
- 12 surgeons and 4 APPs to collaborate with
- PTO
- CME Compensation up to $3500 per year + 5 days
- Competitive compensation plus opportunity for bonus pay
