Psych Mental Health Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) - Fairfax Medical Campus New

Inova Health Fairfax Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care within our community. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team in our Psychiatric Units.

Position Overview:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing the health of patients in our psychiatric units. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive health and physical assessments (H&Ps) and providing consultative support to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Perform thorough health assessments and physical examinations for patients in psychiatric care.
• Complete health and physical assessments (H&Ps) in compliance with organizational policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct follow-up assessments and monitor patient progress.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
 

• Master’s degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner program).
• Current FNP certification and Virginia state licensure.
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
