Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Children First Pediatrics of Virginia, P.C. is looking to hire a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team of four providers taking care of children in our area! We are located in Martinsville, Virginia and serve the children and families of Martinsville/Henry County and surrounding areas. Martinville is located in Southwest Virginia, close to the mountains of Stuart and Meadows of Dan, a four to five from VA, NC, and SC beaches, 45 minutes north of Greensboro, NC and 45-60 minutes to Roanoke, Va. 

Our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work a four-day work week, have six weeks of vacation, have up to 12 or more holidays off per year depending on how the holidays fall; have the opportunity to be part of profit sharing plan the practice contributes to whether the employee does or not; have health and dental insurance offered, of which the practice pays half and the employee pays half pre-tax; have malpractice, DEA, licensing, and credentialing paid by the practice; will reimburse up to $1,500 per year for CME and may roll over to the next year x 1 year only, and have a wonderful pediatric oriented clinical and front office staff to work with!!

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for seeing Well Child Check Ups from newborn through college age and sick visits for children to 21 years of age four days a week. You will work on an all-Pediatric Electronic Medical Record system called PCC, and get charts completed within the day they are seen, preferably, but up to two days after being seen, documenting thoroughly. You will work well with your colleagues in the office, being supportive and collaborative. 

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, with Pediatric experience, and you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be compassionate and caring for children and their families, and you must be flexible and gracious to your colleagues and fellow employees and be able to work within a team and as a team.
